Page 3 - Despicable Creatures 2hour
P. 3

All:
Starlight starbright,
First star I see tonight.
Wish I may, wish I might, Have this wish I wish tonight.
You: Which minion do you wish for? (to the birthday boy/girl the first time, you may need to give some suggestions)
Child: I wish for a silly minion. (the child invents their own wish)
You (spoken): Now let’s all say “One, two, three, abracadabra!”
All (spoken): One, two three, abracadabra! (the children wave their imaginary wands)
Repeat several times as above, except for at the end of each verse when you ask the children to put their hand up if they would like to make a wish. You then sing “Which minion do you wish for?” to a child that has their hand up. If you have more than ten children, you could try asking a few children at a time (at the end of each verse before saying “one, two, three abracadabra”) to speed up the activity. If you have more than 20 children you can ask everyone that hasn’t had a turn to shout their wish out at once.
6. CHOREOGRAPHED DANCE ONE: ‘Happy’ written and performed by Pharrell Williams
Click on song name to open the video in YouTube.
“Put your hand up if you know the song ‘Happy’. Well now I’m going to teach you how real minions dance to ‘Happy’!” Go through the tricky moves, play the track and perform the dance as in the video.
7. PARACHUTE ACTIVITY WITH TOY/S ON TOP: ‘Kevin Jumps on the Bouncy Castle’ (tune of ‘Two Teddies on a Trampoline’ written by Linda Bance)
“Let’s take a look in my sparkly magic bag to see what we’re going to do next!” Reveal the Kevin soft toy. “Does anyone know who this is? That’s right, his name is Kevin! Kevin is very crazy and so loves nothing more than jumping up and down on a bouncy castle! So let’s make him a bouncy castle now using my parachute!” Explain that first they must practice a special song with the imaginary parachute and that if everyone listens really well then you will take out the real parachute. Sing the song and move your arms up and down in time with the pulse.
Kevin jumps on the bouncy castle, Boing, boing, boing, boing.
Kevin jumps on the bouncy castle, Boing, boing, boing.
“Now we’ll use the real parachute and if everyone listens well, I’ll put my Kevin toy on top!” Repeat the song as before, but the group holds the edges of the real parachute, moving it up and down to the pulse.
Place your Kevin soft toy on top of the parachute and repeat the song.
Kevin seems lonely. Let’s see who else I have hiding in my sparkly magic bag that can join him. Reveal a second toy. “Who’s this?” Add the second toy on top and repeat the song.
“Kevin’s still lonely!” Reveal a third toy. “Who’s this?” Place the third toy on top and repeat the song. Repeat for up to ten toys.
Then place as many soft toys and finger puppets as you have on top (so there are up to about 20 all together) and sing the following:
Lots of toys on the bouncy castle, Boing, boing, boing, boing.
Lots of toys on the bouncy castle, Boing, boing, boing.
Don’t worry if the toys fall off. They always do!
