P. 5
Ask the birthday boy/girl if they would like to be the next Madame Gazelle. If they say no, choose someone with their hand up who managed to escape you. Remind the next Madame Gazelle that when you sing “Madame Gazelle is chasing” they must catch as many students as possible. Repeat and then choose a child who “managed to escape” to be the next Madame Gazelle (otherwise they’ll all just be caught on purpose). Repeat as many times as necessary (for example if there is no pass the parcel and/or not many children you may get through the activities quickly and so extend this one, or if you are running behind you could perform the activity just two or three times).
11. PASS THE PARCEL: ‘Peppa Pig’ performed by Grupo Infantil Guarderia Pon (if requested) Make it clear to the children before you play the game that “everybody gets a turn.” Play the track and the children pass the parcel around in a circle. When you pause the music, the child holding the parcel opens a layer and keeps the gift inside. Use a remote control to pause the music so you can help the younger children pass the parcel and open it when it is their turn. The children can eat their treat, put it in their pocket or give it to an adult to mind so that it does not distract them from the rest of the party.
NB: Make sure to check the party entertainer guidelines for instructions on making the parcel and for maximum spending amounts.
12. ACTION GAME: ‘Peppa Pig’
Look there’s a puddle! = jump three times as you say “splash, splash, splash”
George’s dinosaur = “roar” as you do a dinosaur clawing action
Teddy’s sleeping = lie down and pretend to snore
Madame Gazelle = pretend to strum a guitar three times as you sing “bing, bong, bing” (using the tune from the track ‘The Bing Bong Song’ which you will play as you hand out prizes)
NB: ‘The Bing Bong Song’ is a popular song from the TV show that the children will probably know.
Cuddle Mummy Pig = snort as you find a friend or two to hug
a) “To be like Peppa Pig you have to be very clever so now we’re going to play a game to see how strong and clever your brains are today. Every time I say ‘Look there’s a Puddle’ you have to remember to say, ‘splash, splash, splash’.” Demonstrate the action listed above (jumping three times) as you say the words. Then, you say ‘Look there’s a puddle’ and the children jump three times as they say ‘splash, splash, splash’. Practice several times.
b) One by one add in the rest of the actions listed above. Make sure to mix up the order in which you are saying the actions as you teach the game.
c) At first, do all the actions and sounds with the children.
d) When they have got the hang of it, you tell them you are now watching to see if they can
be really clever and remember all of the sounds and actions without your help.
e) Lots of energy!
13. CHOREOGRAPHED DANCE TWO: ‘Ice Cream Freeze’ performed by Miley Cyrus
Click on song name to open the video in YouTube.
“What does Peppa Pig like to eat? I’m going to teach you my favourite dance about ice cream!” Hand each child a coloured scarf and practice the tricky moves. Play the track and perform the dance as in the video.
14. GIVETHEBIRTHDAYCARD:‘HappyBirthday’(traditional)
Give the birthday boy/girl their card, read it aloud and sing the traditional ‘Happy Birthday’ song acapella.
15. BUBBLES: ‘Peppa Pig (Mini Disco Mix)’ performed by Kids Fun Crew
Play the song and use your bubble machine to create lots of bubbles for the children to pop. You should dance as you do this.
16. PRIZES: ‘The Bing Bong Song’ performed by Marty feat. Giorgia Palladino
Play the track and give each child some magic sparkles and a Haribo treat. Please note that this track is very short so you will need to loop it three times. Once you’ve packed up remember to ask the parents if you can put a party flyer in each of the party bags and if you can have a photo with the birthday child.
