Summer Drama Lesson 10 - Heroes to the Rescue!
P. 1

Resources for Summer Lesson 11: Heroes to the Rescue!
Activity: ‘Catch the Superheroes!’ (sung to the traditional tune of ‘Tiny Tim’)
Tell the children that you are going to teach them how to become REAL superheroes. Sing the
song and perform the actions as indicated by the lyrics as you do so.
The superheroes are flexing, the superheroes are flexing, the superheroes are flexing, in the superhero class.
The superheroes are climbing...
The superheroes are flying... The superheroes are sleeping... The superheroes are waking...
“Now I’m going to be the baddie and chase you and see how many superheroes I can catch!” Chase the children as you sing the final verse.
The baddie is chasing...
Choose a volunteer to be the next ‘baddie’ and repeat.
Other Ideas!
Ask the children to help you change the words to make the song about other types of heroes. E.g. the firefighters are spraying, the police officers are driving etc.
