Ask the children to put their hands up if they have an idea on what to build with the sand (e.g. castle, monster, mermaid, racing car etc.). Then all pretend to build the chosen child’s idea. Next, everyone says, “one, two, three cheese!” and takes a picture of their creation. Repeat three more times.

Opening line: “Once there was a beach ball called Boris who was swept away by a giant wave to sea, where he met a starfish called Sue.”

Ocean = jump three times as you say “splash, splash, splash”
Sandcastle = bend down and pretend to build a sandcastle as you sing “Scoop up sand and put it in your bucket” (the first line from this week’s action song)
Surfing = pretend to surf as you sing “Everybody’s gone surfing” (the famous line from the well known Beach Boys song)
Jelly fish = wiggle whole body as you say “wibble, wobble, wibble wobble”
Shark = find a friend or two and hug them as you scream “Ahh!”

9. Travel back to the real world and give out magic sparkles
