Play and Play
Play and play and play together. Play and play and play and stop.
1. Demonstrate this song several times by playing the pulse on a percussion instrument as you sing. Make sure there is a reasonable pause in between each time you sing the song so the babies can see that you play when you sing and you stop when the song is finished. Try keeping still but pulling a silly face during the pauses to keep the babies' attention. Then hand each child (and adult if possible) an instrument. The children play their instruments to the pulse.
2. Play one or two verses quietly because "mum and dad are asleep" and another one or two loudly because "we need to wake them up!"
3. Play slow and fast verses.

Same as for babies and toddlers except you regularly encourage the children to watch and listen carefully to your percussion instrument so they can play in time with you.
