“Let’s take a look in the sparkly magic bag and see what clue there is for today’s story.” Take out the Easter Bunny laminate. Ask the children the following questions.
a) “Who is in this picture?”
b) “Why have I brought in this picture today?”
c) “What sound do bunnies make?” Everyone does a bunny action (whilst seated) and
makes the sound together.
d) Ask a volunteer to pick up an Easter egg and describe it to you (e.g. yellow with
purple spots). You act out unwrapping the egg, eating it and saying “yum” in a silly
voice and the children copy you. Repeat using ideas from three more volunteers.
