Resources for Spring Drama Lesson Five: Body Parts Activity: ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ (traditional)
1. Sing along to the track provided and perform the actions as indicated. Make sure to use your thinking voices when indicated by Lucy.
2. Ask your child to say “One, two, three abracadabra” with you to make your magic remote controls appear. Press ‘slow motion’ and perform the song slowly.
3. Next, press ‘fast forward’ and perform the song quickly.
Other Ideas!
1. Sing the song again but press pause at the end of each line. You and your child freeze. Try pulling a funny face. Press play and continue with the next line.
2. Try pressing ‘rewind’ and singing the body parts backwards. E.g. Toes and knees, toes and knees, shoulders, heads...
3. Change the words to make the song about other body parts, using ideas from your child. E.g. Backs, tummies, elbows, fingers, elbows, fingers...
