“Your last piece of homework for this week is to practice strumming ‘Bell Horses’ and singing it at the same time.”
10. Let of Steam! (5 mins): ‘Jump All Together’ written by Found Sound partners & Bridie
Jackson
“It’s time to do some dancing!” Sing, “stand up”. “Listen to the words and you’ll know what actions to do!” You sing and play your ukulele as the children dance.
Verse:
DG
Jump all together, jump all together, DA
Jump all together now. DG
Jump all together, jump all together, DAD
Jump all together now. Arms in the air,
Pause and put down your ukulele so you can demonstrate the actions for the chorus. “Everyone put your arms in the air!” Sing the chorus as you wave your arms in the air from left to right in time with the pulse.
Chorus:
DGD A Woohoo! La la la la la la, DGDAD Woohoo! La la la la la la.
Pick up your ukulele and sing and play the song the whole way through, this time changing the words to:
Verse:
Stomp like an elephant, stomp like an elephant, Stomp like an elephant now.
Stomp like an elephant, stomp like an elephant, Stomp like an elephant now. Arms in the air,
Chorus (as before)
Ask a volunteer to think up a new verse (e.g. wobble like a jelly fish, snap like a crocodile, slither like a snake) and sing the song again, using their idea. Repeat 2 or 3 more times, depending on how much time you have left in the lesson. Sing “sit down”.
11. Singalong Time (4 mins):
