Then, the children strum the pulse whilst you tap your ukulele in time with the pulse. Make sure the children strum on the rest beat too!
Next, the children strum an F chord whilst you tap the rhythm.
Lastly, you strum an F chord in time with the pulse and the children strum a C chord during the rests.
“For homework this week I’d like you to practice singing and strumming ‘Pease Pudding Hot’.”
NB: you can place small circular stickers on the fretboard to remind the children where their left hand fingers need to go to play the chords. It’s best if you colour code them too. E.g. yellow for C and green for F.
