“Now we’ll use the real parachute and if everyone listens well, I’ll put my Minnie Mouse toy on top!” Repeat the song as before, but the group holds the edges of the real parachute, moving it up and down to the pulse.
Next, reveal your Minnie toy from your sparkly bag. “Who’s this?” Place Minnie on top of the parachute and repeat the song.
Minnie seems lonely. Let’s see who else I have hiding in my sparkly magic bag that can join her. Reveal a second toy. “Who’s this?” Add the second toy on top and repeat the song.
Minnie’s still lonely! Reveal a third toy. “Who’s this?” Place the third toy on top and repeat the song. Repeat for up to ten toys.
Then place as many soft toys and finger puppets as you have on top (so there are up to about 20 all together) and sing the following:
Lots of toys on the bouncing castle, Boing, boing, boing, boing.

a) AskthechildreniftheyknowthegameMusicalStatues.Tellthemthatthey’regoingto
play a game a little bit like Musical Statues and that if they can beat you to win, you will
give them all a Haribo treat.
b) Explain that they are going to be Minnie or Mickey Mouse and you are going to give
each of them a magical, musical, mouse shaker (egg shaker).
c) When the music plays they must march their magical, musical, mouse shakers to the
Clubhouse (demonstrate walking and shaking a shaker as you tell them). When the music stops it means that Silly Pete is coming! The children must freeze, hide their magical, musical, mouse shakers behind their backs and be really still and quiet (demonstrate freezing) so Silly Pete doesn't steal their shakers. “If everyone is really quiet and still when the music stops, you will all win a Haribo treat.”
d) “I am going to turn into Silly Pete every time the music stops.”
e) Give each child a magical, musical, mouse shaker.
f) Play ‘Shake It Off’ and the children march around the room and shake their magical,
musical, mouse shakers.
g) Pause the music and pretend to be Silly Pete. The children freeze. You get grumpy
because they’ve managed to escape you. “I’ll get you next time!” Try to be as silly as
you can to make the children laugh.
h) Repeat several times until you confess that the mice have beaten you and delivered their
magical, musical, mouse shakers to the Clubhouse. You cry and say “I want my
mummy!”
i) Walk away and when you turn back you are no longer Silly Pete. Tell the children that
you’ve turned back into a Your Name Sparkles, Minnie Mouse’s best friend, congratulate them and tell them you will give them their Haribo prize before you go home.
