The story of Patchy
On a stormy night in April, a brown puppy, Patchy, was stuck inside a crevice, together with eight little siblings, who were just a few weeks old. Inside the deep hole,
Patchy was too weak even to move. She was
whining softly, pleading for help. The mother was nowhere to be seen and, as the storm raged and heavy rains fell, the puppies seemed doomed - their home would soon be flooded and the puppies were sure to drown.
Luckily, a man was out in the storm and by chance, heard the puppies whining. The man, Ignatius, crept towards the hole and saw the danger that Patchy and her siblings were in. Under the heavy rain, he crawled into the crevice and, one by one, he pulled the helpless little puppies out.
After their dramatic rescue, Patchy and the puppies were
taken in by StrayNoMoreSG and, with the efforts of the wonderful
team there, all the puppies were adopted and are now safe and well with their new families.
StrayNoMoreSG currently has 14 rescued dogs just like Patchy who need a loving home. If you or your friends would like to have a pet, please "Adopt, don't shop!". By offering a rescued animal a warm and loving home, you will not only save a life and gain a loyal and loving friend for life. You’ll also help to discourage the puppy mill industry where animals are often bred in heart-breakingly-poor conditions.
