“Given the resounding success of this year’s Annual Dinner cel-
ebration, the campaign for the Marian Heart Center Expansion
Project has received an unprecedented start,” states Charles
J. Cova, Marian President and CEO. “On behalf of all Marian
employees, physicians, volunteers and most importantly, on
behalf of our patients and community, I thank all those who
invested in the health of the community by attending and con-
tributing towards the recent Annual Dinner. The community’s
generous support of our heart center expansion initiative gives
the public the opportunity to not only advance local cardiac
care, but to also literally save lives.”
During the Annual Dinner celebration, the event commemo-
rated the Heart Center’s past, present and future and paid
tribute to the countless individuals who have had a role in
the success of the comprehensive cardiac program. One very
special individual acknowledged at the event was Sister Janet
Corcoran, OSF, who was honored for her involvement in the
philanthropic efforts and support to establish the Heart Center
20 years ago.
