Top: The Merola Opera Program’s first opera commission If I Were You by composer Jake Heggie and librettist Gene Scheer premiered in August 2019 at San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre and was conducted by Nicole Paiement and directed by Keturah Stickann. The world premiere was presented with two alternating casts as part of the Merola 2019 Summer Festival.
Bottom: Respiro Opera, NYC is an intensive training program designed to aid the artistic development of the emerging young professional. Classes focus on breath and physical freedom as well as the Alexander Technique, body mapping, and yoga for singers. The freeing of body and breath is essential and compatible with all vocal techniques.
