1. Readiness & Access:

PFC will contact the principal contractor by telephone and email the day before traveling
to an installation to check that the works are on schedule. PFC will also check at this
point that the elevations are complete and prepared to the standards/specification
             detailed within this document.

Should h b dy u u , or if there are delays caused due to
ongoing wall preparation by the principal contractor then additional charges y apply.

The graphic installers must have clear access to the walls. Suitable specialist
access equipment should be provided & in place by the principal contractor
where previously agreed (scaffolding on stairwells for instance).

Contractor scaffolding is preferred in staircase locations however the graphic provider can
provide their own access equipment if required. Should contractor scaffolding be provided
the highest platform should be no more than 1.5m from the highest ceiling space. The
wall elevation should also have 0.5m of clear space for the graphic application.

             2. Wall Preparation & Misalignment

The use of inferior filling materials or inadequate installation of MDF panels will
inevitably cause bowing on the wall areas from the middle.

Inferior wall preparation fillers will react negatively with the adhesive paste used
to install the graphics and will cause bubbling issues/visual imperfections.

Any bowing of the wall panels during their installation will create visual & alignment
issues for the graphics provider. Panels need to be suitably fixed to the wall structure, to
ensure that they do not bow.

Staircase areas are one particular elevation where there can be lots
of issues and additional attention should be given to these locations.

MDF biscuit joints are desirable as lifting and movement of panels is possible after the
graphic application is complete (see example, Figure 1). Board junctions should be
keyed to enable the filler material to create a suitable long lasting bond across both
             vertical & horizontal joints.

Remedial works to the graphic installation which are as a direct result of inadequate
wall preparation will not be at the direct responsibility & cost of PFC to resolve if a
             failure occurs.
