Link the final consonant in t he -ed endings of regular verbs to the next
word when it starts with a vowel: For example: She loved it sounds
as <she love dit>, He liked her as <he like ter>, They needed him as
<they needi dim>. Initial <h> in him and her is silent when the pronoun is
linked to the preceding word.
