I’d never built anything from wood

in my life… not to mention a rocking

chair. But I wanted to make her

happy, and I loved the idea of

learning something new.

I went out and bought a few

magazines that had rocking chair

plans, drove by the hardware store

for some wood and screws and got

to work.
