wrapped in swaddling clotheS/ lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heav en, the shepherds said one to another. Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us" (Luke 2:9-15).
On the day of Pentecost, this was the testimony of Peter who was com pletingbythepoweroftheSpiritofGod,hisrevelationoftheSonof Man: "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made thatsameJesus,whomyehavecrucified,both Lordand Christ" (Acts2:36; Matthew 16:13-19). And soon after he declared boldly, "This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the head of the comer. Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby ye must be saved" (Acts 4:11-12).
Responding before the council to the accusation of the chief priests con demning the teaching of the Name ofJesus by the disciples and their doc trine which filled Jerusalem, Peter said fearlessly, "Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins" (Acts 5:28-37).
Here is also the luminous testimony of John in his first epistle: "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us); That which we have seen and heard
declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ" (I John 1:1-3). The same apostle, in the Book of Revelation, wrote what he heard from Jesus Christ: "who (Jesus) is the faithful witness, and the first begot ten ofthe dead, and the prince of the kings ofthe earth" (Revelations 1:5). The risen Christ said unto him, "Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am
he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death" (Revelation 1:17-18).
8.1 The Mystery Revealed to the Apostles
Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ, entrusted with the gospel of grace of God
had this one single passion in life: "to make all men see what is the fellow
ship of the mystety, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid iu God.-" (Ephesians 3:9), and "which in other ages was not made known
