Unseen Hands
Before he received the apostolic truth of baptism in Jesus' name, Tekle baptized over ten thousand people vdth the formula "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost."
The nonsectarian approach of his ministry appealed to the different churches, and he moved freely among them in crusades. The dedication, prayer, and fasting behind every service resulted in amazing healings, the eviction of evil spirits and mighty fillings with the Holy Ghost. The state church that formerly fought him did an about face and gave him liberty to preach wherever he chose.
While Tekle fasted and prayed in a Norwegian Lutheran mission guest house in Awasa, the Spirit im pressed him to write.
He asked Hailu Wolde-Tsadik, then president of the Lutheran Southern Synod, to give him a stack of paper and several pens. (This man is now presbyter of the Apostolic church in Sidamo.)
BeginningJune 28,1969, Tekle wrote for three days, without interruption, as the HolySpirit anointed him, pro ducing a book called Melekotawi Hayle (Divine Power). He wrote about false religion versus the apostolic doc trine, wrote against heresy and worldliness, and inter preted the prophecies of Ezekiel 37-38 with respect to Ethiopia. The book was printed by a miracle, and letters
from numerous people testified of blessings from its messages.
Going from place to place, preaching as the Spirit directed, eating whatever kindness provided, and sleep ing wherever he found a place, Tekle lived by faith. Sometimes, he fared better under a tree or in a cave than
