His mother marveled at God's unique and timely pro
vision and began to understand her son's calling.
Two months later his family decided to return to Tigre to see about their property. Tekle felt they might be too young in the faith to stand alone, so he read to them Mark 10:29-30: "And Jesus answered and said. Verily I say rmto you. There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for
my sake, and the gospel's, but he shall receive an hun dredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with
persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life." The Scripture touched them; they never returned to
Tigre.
