wept as she pleaded, "Brother Tekle, we want you to come to our home one more time before you go. Brother Wendell wants to talk to you,"
Her tears and the memory of the warning vision he had in 1964 made him uneasy, and he stiffened against her plea. Brother Wendell took the phone; "Come and say goodbye, my friend, until we meet again,"
Tekle could not resist the warmth of the friendly voice, and as he entered the house, a spirit of prophecy swept over Sister Wendell: "This is the man I have chosen to preach My Word to the people of Ethiopia, says the Lord of Hosts," All of them instantly fell on their knees in fervent prayer,
Tekle evaded the Wendells' request for his address in Awasa, thinking, I'm afraid to continue this friendship. They might expect me to work with them,
"Quickly, Mark," Sister Wendell hurried her son the following morning, "Take these tracts to the house where Tekle is staying,"
It was too late! "They left very early," their host explained,
"Sir, could you give me Tekle's address in Awasa?" Mark requested,
"Certainly," the man answered as he wrote it for him.
Wondering how the Wendells got his post office box number, Tekle first read the warm, friendly letter and Christian greetings.
