Tekle prayed, "0 Jesus, give me wisdom so that I do
not offend believers by witnessing about baptism in Y our name. ShouldI rather go to the heathen and baptize them correctly when they believe?"
The Lord's answer came with vivid haste: Anyone who rejects baptism in My name rejects Me. And you yourself must be immersed in My name. Can you not understand that the Scripture plainly declares, "Except
a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God"? Where is the sin if a person is offended by your true testimony?
God's message made Tekle leap with joy and gave him courage to declare boldlythe truth revealed to him. Colos- sians 3:17 thrilled him: "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving
thanks to God and the Father by him." He said, "I will practice this command for the rest of my life."
In spite of the sharp dissension between them, Tekle and Erkenesh went to the village of Sibaye in Wollayta for a service in an S.I.M. church. At the conclusion, yoimg and old lifted their hands in worship, with most of them
speaking in other tongues as the Holy Ghost moved. Suddenly Tekle was impressed to look for a man whom Satan was trying to smother. He moved among the people and found the victim. He had buried his face in the sand to keep from screaming. When Tekle lifted him up, he gave out horrible shrieks until Tekle commanded the devil to leave him. The man had long been extremely ill. Jesus healed him and filled him with the Spirit in one
operation.
