On a Wednesday of fasting and prayer the Lord
healed Aster Fiku from long-standing acute pain in her leg. Brother Gezahegn Gedda, deacon and secretary of
the Youth division, is an employee of the government. He took a seriously high fever, and Sister Emote and I went to his home and rebuked the disease in Jesus name. He received instant healing.
High fever laid low three times a High School teacher. Brother Amha Awoke, and the name of Jesus healed him each time. He is a deacon and faithful member of Sodo
Apostolic church.
Barza Bassa's binding addiction to tobacco and strong
drink bothered him; he made vows to many gods trying to
get free, but nothing helped. One day he spent most of his
wages, 90 Birr for alcohol and tej and came home with only 7 Birr. He awoke sober and disgusted the next morning and
decided, "My case is hopeless," and took a rope to hang himself. Fortunately, his wife wakened in time to call the
neighbors for help and saved him from suicide. When one of them witnessed to him, he came to the church, got rid of his
addiction through prayer and received salvation that day. When Samuel Garedew got baptized in the name of
Jesus and received the Holy Ghost in 1986, the Lord healed him of severe migraine headaches. He is a driver and praises God for protecting him from threatening accidents that seemed impossible to avoid, yet he came out unscathed each time.
In 1987 Brother Gutta Garedew learned more of God's power in two accidents, one on the banks of Buge river, the other near Addilo river, both caused by the mistakes of careless drivers. Only the hand of God prevented
