SEPTEMBER 25, Sunday:
Five thousand people gathered in the conference
center in Addis Ababa to bid farewell to the beloved mother of revival in Ethiopia. The suddenness of her home-going
prevented thousands more from attending.
SEPTEMBER 26, Monday:
Tekle boarded the plane to return to the USA to
speak at the General Conference of the United Pentecostal Church International held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
OCTOBER 2, Sunday:
One of three speakers in a tremendous mission
service, Tekle inspired his listeners with a positive report of miracles and revival in his land based on Bible obedience.
That night, after a song by the Indiana Bible college,
a wave of exuberant worship swept over the thousands in
attendance. Tekle became the focal point as he danced and
rejoiced across the large platform. Sometimes kneeling with his face to the floor, sometimes leaping, he continued
unabated for over an hour. Realizing he had buried his wife of twenty-five years only a week before, the audience
responded with an unprecedented depth of adoration to the King of Kings.
Miracles began happening all over the huge auditorium. A deaf man's ears opened. A woman in a wheel chair for three years stood and walked upon the platform to
give her testimony. Many received the Holy Ghost. Healing and restoration poured across the crowd like a benevolent
