river in flood. Only heaven's recording angel knows the extent of the miraculous deliverances in this remarkable service.
Feeling extreme heaviness of Spirit two years ago, Tekle fasted and prayed continually for seven days without
sleep. Just as his time of seeking God ended, Erkenesh had a stroke and died, remaining lifeless for thirty minutes until
he called her back in the name of Jesus. She returned saying, "Not yet; not yet."
She told him of the steps she made on her journey to heaven. At the first step an angel asked her, "What is the
greatest commandment?"
"There is one God and I must love Him with all my
heart, soul, and mind."
The angel said, "Proceed to the second step."
At the second step the question came, "What is the second commandment?"
"I must love my neighbor as myself." "Proceed to the third step."
Then another angel intervened, "Go back; it is not
yet time."
Seven months later with malaria and another stroke
she died again and lay lifeless for forty-five minutes until Tekle's prayers brought her back. She told him by sign
language then, "I want to go."
Before our visit in '93, I phoned her son Abraham
for a report on her condition. He answered, "She recognizes no one, cannot speak, and her right arm and leg is
paralyzed." Brother Freeman and I went to Brother Tom Barnes asking prayer for dear, prayer warrior Erkenesh.
After prayer, he told us, "Lay hands on her and pray; she will recognize you and talk to you, but the third problem will
only be healed later." It happened just as he said. 199
