Foreword
An unprecedented hunger for more of God swept through Ethiopia in the early sixties, and He graciously poured His Spirit on forty thousand of those seeking Him with a deep, earnest thirsting for righteousness. One of them,Teklemariam Gezahegn, was mightily baptized with the Holy Ghost in 1964. But the strong leadership that was desperately needed did not develop, and as the number of Spirit filled people reached over fifty thousand, vicious strife, error, and carnality flawed what God had done.
• Against the backdrop of human failure, Tekle< sought the Lord with consistent urgency. While fasting and praying in a cave he had a terrifying vision of hell followed by an enthralling glimpse of the New Jerusalem and the deliverance of the righteous. He cried, "O Jesus, I beg You to reveal Your whole truth to me."
The glorious revelation he longed for did not appear instantly. It came as the prophet predicted, "precept upon precept; line upon line" (Isaiah 28:10). In time, the Jehovah of the Old Testament revealed Himself to Tekle as Jesus to redeem him. He also showed Tekle the necessity of receiving* His Spirit
