05The \original bicycle designs have been bred, and it has worked with the government and industry to lead Taiwan to become a global bicycle creative hub and originating place for original design trends to create a global bicycle industry. In recent years, ICT, IOT and Mobile communication technology%u3000have advanced rapidly and have facilitated people%u2019s lives. They have also promoted the development of the global bicycle industry towards electrification and intelligence, providing more creative value-added designs for digital applications, closer integration of people, cars and the environment. It has not only changed the face of traditional transportation, but also brought more new business opportunities.In response to the development and application of global AI and the advocacy of cycling sports, the theme of \Help the Design of Electric Bicycles\as innovative products or services. I sincerely thank the Ministry of Economic Affairs, bicycle-related industries, academic units and all participants for their long-term support and assistance to the \21 highly creative award-winning works from 260 entries from 34 countries in the most objective perspective in Januar y this year. We%u2019re looking forward to seeing the winning works commercialize as soon as possible.The COVID-19 in 2020 has affected our lives and economic activities. Under the highest epidemic prevention principle of maintaining social distance in various countries, bicycles have become the best solution for transportation, sports, leisure and other aspects. Someone once said to me that bicycles are the propulsion of the \g electrification and intelligent technology into bicycle design and application, we have more expectations for the innovative development of the bicycle industry. The bicycle industry is facing the rapid recovery of the consumer market after the epidemic. We hope to see more creative applications, to helpo more people can go out and enjoy the fun of riding bicycles, and contribute to global environmental protection and health promotion.
