                                             more about the role her team
                                             plays in making sure our members
                                             are adequately protected.








              BEFORE WE GET STARTED, TELL US A LITTLE MORE ABOUT
              YOURSELF STEPH.
              Well, my name is Stephanie Hanratty-Kilty (Steph). I’m the Account Director at
              Numark Insurance Services and have been working with Numark members for
              over 10 years. Outside of insurance, I am a Counsellor, I got into that as I love
              being able to help people and bring about positive change.

              TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT NUMARK INSURANCE SERVICES
              AND WHAT YOU DO?
              Numark Insurance Services is a team of six people who care for the insurance
              needs of the Numark estate. We arrange insurance for 3,000 pharmacies, which
              equates to approximately 6,000 policies across three main insurance products:
              Professional Indemnity Insurance, Commercial Shop Insurance, and Property
              Insurance.

              My role is quite varied and involves wearing three different hats. Because the
              team reports to me, I have the normal duties of managing and developing
              people. I am also client-facing, so I deal with pharmacy insurance requirements,
              which is great because I get to understand the pharmacies and keep up with
              what is going on in the industry. I also support Gary Cornwall, our Claims
              Manager, to ensure any claims run smoothly and efficiently.
              The other hat I wear is insurer-facing. I work closely with Insurers and
              Underwriters to provide the policies we need to cater to the diverse nature of a
              pharmacy.

              WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE INSURANCE TEAM?

              Insurance is a complex purchase. It’s a highly technical role that requires us to
              understand the pharmacy and the services it provides to the communities it
              serves. We then take that information and overlay it against the insurance policy
              terms and conditions to perform a gap analysis, and where gaps exist, we create
              a tailored policy to cover the risk.
