Contractual Framework

Following the recent announcement of the 2025/26 funding arrangements for the
Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF), it’s more important than ever
to stay on the front foot. We know delivering the contract can be challenging—so
Numark continues to evolve our support, giving you the tools, guidance, and clarity
needed to meet each milestone with confidence.

Here’s what’s coming next: 2025

Key dates to keep in mind

• 1 July – PQS Aspiration Payments

Aspiration payments for the 2025/26 Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS) will be made
from 1 July. Make sure you’re clear on the gateway criteria and upcoming domains

so you’re well-positioned for full delivery later in the year.

• Autumn – CPCF negotiations begin
Negotiations for the 2026/27 contract are expected to kick off this autumn. While
the long-term direction remains uncertain, Numark will continue to represent your
voice and keep you informed as developments emerge.

• October – Service delivery requirements step up
From October, to receive the full monthly Pharmacy First payment, pharmacies
must deliver at least one ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM)
intervention per month. Depression will also be introduced as an eligible condition
under the New Medicines Service (NMS)—a key development that reflects the
growing role of pharmacy in supporting mental health.

Supporting delivery with updated SOPs

To ensure you can deliver these services effectively, we’ve reviewed and updated
five of our Advanced Service SOPs in line with the latest service specifications and
funding changes. These are now live on NumarkNet and ready to support your teams:

• Hypertension Case-Finding Service
• Lateral Flow Device (LFD) Test Supply Service
• New Medicines Service (NMS)
• Pharmacy Contraception Service
• Pharmacy First Service

These SOPs are designed to streamline your processes, clarify clinical pathways, and
support safe, consistent delivery whether you’re onboarding new staff or refreshing
your existing team’s knowledge.
