1. Independent prescribing claims – 31 December

For pharmacies offering Independent Prescribing (IP) services
declare the number of hours availability and number of
consultations that month.

2. Dispensing compensation – 31 December
st
A dispensing compensation payment is available to
contractors who see a monthly prescription volume decrease
of over 7% due to GP prescribing adjustments that increase
treatment periods. This decrease is compared to the average
prescription volume from April 2021 to March 2022 (the
reference period), adjusted by an additional 1.59%.

3. Annual Welsh IG toolkit training sessions – December
The Welsh Information Governance Toolkit is available for
pharmacies to complete for the 2025/2026 submission period.
Organisations have until the 31 of March 2026 to submit

their IG Toolkit forms. There are some new features and
functionality to the Caforb platform. CPW have arranged
training sessions and to provide support:
• Independent community pharmacies - A standard session
providing full demonstration of the Caforb platform –
Thursday 4 December 10am – 11am

• Community pharmacy groups – In depth session providing
full demonstration and new copy down functionality –
Tuesday 2 December 1pm – 2pm

expire on 31 December each year. Payment is due on or
