                            Esomeprazole
                                                                  Heartburn is caused by stomach acid rising up (reflux)
                                                                  into the oesophagus. Frequent heartburn makes the
                                                                  oesophagus sensitive to acid so it doesn’t take much to
                                                                  trigger the pain.
                                                                  NICE guidelines recommend PPIs as first line treatment
