CONNECTING WITH PHARMA PARTNERS
The exhibition part of the conference is designed to give
members a chance to speak to our 16 pharma partners. There
is plenty of time for members to connect with the teams with
any queries or questions they may have and this provides an
excellent opportunity to learn more about the discounts they
offer on portfolios and educate themselves on new product
launches, benefiting both their practice and their patients.
Members also then had the chance to check out some innovative
solutions such as NuCare and Golden Tote which are aimed to
help combat current challenges facing dispensing doctors.

FROM MARK GIBBONS
Mark Gibbons from NHS Prescription Services
took to the stage to provide delegates with
key insights as to what happens to their
prescriptions when they are sent in - offering
hints, tips, and guidance on how to ensure
prescriptions are paid efficiently and what to
avoid ensuring practices do not lose out on
payments. It was like getting a peek behind
the curtain of the prescription process!
MAXIMISING PROFITABILITY
WITH CAROLINE POND
Mark was followed by Caroline who talked
through her top 10 tips for maximising
profitability in the dispensary.
Some of Caroline’s tips included making the
most out of manufacture discounts, going to
generics, maximising dispensing fees and ways
to evade avoidable losses.
Their expertise added depth to our understanding
of key healthcare issues and opportunities.
