The Great Umayyad Mosque
The Great Mosque of Bani Umayyah, known for
short as the Umayyad Mosque, is the mosque
that Al-Walid bin Abd al-Malik ordered to build
in Damascus, and it is the fourth most famous
Islamic mosque after the campuses of Mecca,
Medina and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and it is one of the
seven wonders of Islam in the world
