3M™ Shearbolt Connector QCI Series

The 3M™ Shearbolt Connector QCI Series offer easy installation without crimp tools or dies and withstands the ANSI C119.4, Class 2 (partial tension) 40%
pull out force required by IEEE-404. They connect copper and/or aluminum conductors.
The bolts are designed to shear off just below the outer surface of the connector body to eliminate the need to file, whether you are connecting to
American Wire Gauge conductors or metric conductors. These connectors can be used for applications up to 46 kV and can be packed in a kit with 3M™
Cold Shrink QS4 Integrated Splices, the 3M™ QS-III Splices or purchased separately. Each connector is electro-tin plated to resist electrolytic corrosion Lugs and Connectors
and contains a solid stop.
* The 3M™ Splice Kits 5468A, 5536A, QS4-35JCN-350-1000, QS4-35SP-350-1000-BCA and QS4-35TS-350-1000 are sized to cover 35 kV 350–1000
kcmil. Therefore, two shearbolt connectors are required to cover the range.
** Installer should verify that both cables are within the Insulation O.D. Range of the splice kit before using any given QCI connector.
† No centering rings used with this connector.
