BICYCLONE 2021 - Bicycle day Celebrations 2021
In April 2018, the United Nation General Assembly declared June 3rd as the International World Bicycle day. The
resolution for World bicycle day recognises the uniqueness and versatility of the bicycle which has been in use for
two centuries and that it is a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of
transport.
Indus Cycling Embassy in accordance with the World bicycle Day celebrations 2021, brings to you in this time of
pandemic when all are confined to home, “Bicyclone 2021”, to create a lively platform for everyone irrespective of
where they are and what they are doing.
Bicyclone Is not just a festival of cycles but it is a festival filled with zestful competition and mesmerizing events by
opening to you a World of cycles. For the bicycle enthusiasts out there, this festival is one in all.
The key events of this festival includes the Online Elocution Competition, conducted in three different languages,
English, Hindi and Malayalam and many other Vernacular languages, which is open for school students from class
6th to 12th.
For the general public, an Online Quiz Competition is organised relating to the theme of Bicycles. Other events to
add on Colours to the festival are the Bicycle Anthem recitation and Poster making event.
The sole aim of Bicyclone 2021 is to spread awareness among the common people about the benefits of cycling in
order to fulfil the dream of a Greener, Better and Safer Earth.
