SHOP SMALL BUSINESS

Economic Development hosted its Annual Shop Small Business Saturday on November 27th. Over 30 vendors from the local Black community set up at our Delta House for the sorors and public to shop for their favorite holiday gifts. One of our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust goals is to continuously educate and prepare our community for generational wealth. We also hosted young entrepreneurs, including one seven-year-old who sold out all her books!
In addition, we partnered with American Express to become a Neighborhood Champion who supports both local small-owned and black-owned businesses. More than 100 attendees supported this event and networked, of which 56 were sorors, 59 community members, and 34 registered vendors.
