Soror Sherry J. Lewis is a member of the
70 Degrees of DiSTinction, Spring 2010 line made by Broward County Alumnae
Chapter. According to Soror Sherry, "Growing up, the only sorority I remember hearing about was Delta Sigma Theta and how
they would paint the town red at
convention time. I had the opportunity to work with the sorority when they had the talent show for Jabberwock.
I also remember the Essence Fashion
Shows and the Red and White Galas.
I chose to become a Delta because Delta has earned the respect of the community
on a local and national basis as an organization that is committed
to service."
In BCAC, Soror Sherry has been
Co-Chair for May Week 2016-2017
and Delta Gems 2017 to 2021. In her
downtime, she listens to audiobooks and watches movies. So let's take a closer look at what's on Soror Sherry's bucket list: buy a motorcycle, go fishing, travel to Europe, Australia & Africa, Texas (smart move, LOL), New York, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, skydive, zipline, snorkel, take a photography class, go horseback riding and visit a Redwood Forest. (Ok, let's make ALL of this happen very soon, Soror Sherry!)
Soror Jacqueline Yvonne Pierce joined our beloved sorority in Delta Omega, Bishop College, Dallas, Texas, in May 1969. Soror Jackie says, “When I decided to join a sorority and observed the different organizations on campus, I resonated with the ways the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta conducted themselves on campus. The majority of the ladies were also honor students. This appealed to me!”
In BCAC, Soror Jackie has held many leadership roles: Financial Secretary, Vice President Fiscal Affairs, Co-Chair Jabberwock Talent Show, Co-Chair Delteens and Chair, Job and Career Counseling.
Her favorite pastime is reading and she has just one item on her bucket list: to see all the U.S. National Parks. (That’s a pretty cool bucket item... our nation’s parks are STUNNING! So get those hiking shoes ready, Soror Jackie!)

THE REAL ORNAMENT OF A WOMAN IS HER CHARACTER...
Soror Susie Williams also pledged Spring 2010 in our beloved chapter --Broward County Alumnae Chapter. Her interest in DST developed while she was in college. Since joining BCAC, Soror Susie has been an advisor for GEMS 2017-2021 (9th-12th grade girls) as well as a Sister Circle Co-chair. In her downtime, she loves watching a good movie-- romance ones, especially at Christmas time— along with suspense/mystery and drama movies. What’s on her bucket list: to take a fabulous vacation somewhere, do a half marathon and learn to stroll.
(Trust us, Sis, MOST of us have that last item on our bucket list, too... “To Be Real.” LOLOL)
