Greetings Members,
We had a great weekend except for the wind on Sunday. When the weather did cooperate, I am
very happy to report that I have been getting a lot of positive feedback and increased traffic to the
marina. We hope to continue this trend and we are planning several improvements. The picnic
table project is moving forward, as well as the Williamsburg Sailing Federation that will begin
sailing lessons soon.
Our demand at the marina has been high with the wait list for a slip is now 5 deep and the dry
storage list is 6 deep. We have had an influx of new first time boaters this spring, and requests
still continue daily.
We do have new boaters, so when you are out and about at the marina, please stop by slip # 7
and welcome our newest boating family members Agnes and Michael Reynolds. Welcome
aboard!
On a final note, the marina staff has been instructed to enforce that boat owners and their guests
only are allowed beyond the wooden walking pier. Please also note that when the marina office is
open, people may fish by the transient slips from the end of the sailing boat docks to the gas
pump. During working hours, please contact a marina staff member, and KMPD after hours if a
non-boater is on the docks. Please be patient, as we look to limit access to boat owners and their
guests only.
Fair winds and following seas,
Mike Dalessandro
