VP Club Operations | James Paige
What a nice July 4 weekend around the club.
We hope you were able to enjoy, relax, and
celebrate with family and friends! Kudos to all of
our recreation managers for leading great teams,
and getting the summer off to a great start. It is
nice to see expanded offerings and hours in
place these last few weeks.
We have some exciting updates with our
Kingsmill Team. We have a new Director of
Agronomy in the onboarding process, with a
start date of July 13. We also have a new Woods
Superintendent in the onboarding process, with a
start date of July 13. Full bio’s and information
will be announced once they land on site.
A very large KUDOS to our River Course
Superintendent – Andrew Pound, and our R/P
Assistant Superintendent (Interim Woods Super) –
Jonathan Swartout – for leading our team during this
transition and putting out a quality product around
the golf courses. We are hosting some big events
this month – including the LPGA Club Professional
Championship & The Notah Begay Junior Regional
Championships, come on out and watch! Our 2022
Kingsmill Junior Camp numbers are bigger than ever,
with 8 weeks of camp and 4 PGA Junior League
Teams.
There are quite a few programs, events, and
tournaments lined up for the month of July, we hope
you are able to come out and enjoy them! Our first
summer concert was a roaring success, and the next
one is coming up on July 16 – mark it on your
calendars! We are in the process of building out our
fall calendar of events, and hope to have some new
programs and events announced very shortly.
