125 Years Of Being Part Of

The Dental Industry

In the year 2024, N. K. Patel and Sons proudly
marks its 125th anniversary as a pioneering
institution dedicated to advancing healthcare
in India. Since its inception in 1899, the
company has been a steadfast partner to
the dental community, contributing to the
delivery of exceptional standards of care.

A Legacy of Visionary Leadership
The transformative journey initiated by
Dr. Kalyanji Bhagwandas Patel, a visionary
hailing from the small town of Randed
in Gujarat, remains a cornerstone of the
organization’s legacy. After completing his
medical education in England, Dr. Patel
established K. Patel and Sons, a clinic and
medical supply store, in Karachi. He also
spearheaded one of the earliest medical and
dental colleges in Karachi namely Laxmi
Dental College. First batch of students who passed out of Laxmi Dental College in Karachi
Amidst India’s struggle for independence,
Dr. Kalyanji Bhagwandas Patel made a
pivotal decision. In 1945, he relocated his
family to Mumbai, where he expanded his
influence by founding a factory for artificial
teeth production and dental supply stores in
Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Upholding Family Tradition
Throughout its trajectory, N. K. Patel and
Sons have maintained their status as a family-
owned enterprise. Continuing the esteemed
legacy of Dr. Kalyanji Bhagwandas Patel,
his sons Mr. Ramesh Patel and Mr. Navin
Patel undertook the task of diversifying
and restructuring the family business.They
assumed leadership roles within the dental
enterprise, with their headquarters situated Patient Treatment from the early 1900s at Laxmi Dental College
