Adhiyogi’s First Visit to Italy
During Adhiyogi’s Norway visit, he remembered that one Italian couple had met him in India several years ago and told him to visit them if he comes to Italy ever. He took a chance and wrote to them about his presence in Norway, not too far from Italy. They immediately arranged one Yoga Teacher Mina to invite him to Italy for a week promising to give him some lessons to teach with a payment of all expenses.
Adhiyogi went to Italy for a week and noticed that only one student was present to take lessons, thus not covering his cost. But he was very happy with Mina and he taught her some philosophy for 5 days and was about to return to Norway in 2 days. Surprisingly 2 days before his return to Norway, one Pilates School in Italy asked him to give onetime lesson to their clients at very late evening, promising some donation amount. He taught this class which took place at 9:30 p.m. night and there were around 15 students. The class lasted for 2 hours, but no donation was paid. He happily returned to his room. However, next day, that is his last of this Italian visit, he was invited again to teach at the same Pilates school. He accepted and there were 30 students in the class. They loved the class, and the donation covered all his costs of the Italian travel! One student in this class later took Adhiyogi’s Teacher Training in India. Also, some more things happened that are given in the following sections. But in short, this Italian trip opened the doors of Italy to Adhiyogi in a very big way. He has visited Italy 14 times by the time of this writing!
