TEACHER TRAINGING:
A Sacred Chapter of AdhiYoga in the Heart of California
In the spring of 2017, a transformative chapter unfolded at a quiet yoga haven nestled in Northern California — Lotus Path Yoga Studio. It was here that Adhiyogi, founder of the Authentic Yoga System known as AdhiYoga, returned for the second year of an intensive teacher training program. This was not just another workshop — it was the deepening of a spiritual partnership between a teacher of rare authenticity and a community devoted to sincere Yogic exploration.
Marina Ellis, the compassionate and insightful owner of Lotus Path Yoga, welcomed Adhiyogi once again with great anticipation. As someone who had dedicated her life to Yoga, Marina noted how rare it was to find a guide whose life and teachings embodied the full scope of Yoga — its philosophy, its discipline, and its soul.
Throughout the training, Adhiyogi offered a profound transmission of Yoga's essence through
workshops, philosophical lectures, Sanskrit chanting, and the unique teachings of AdhiYoga. His approach was deeply rooted in tradition yet presented with a clarity that made even the most complex ideas beautifully accessible. Marina described him as “a bright and pure soul” — a friend, a teacher, and a rare gem in the modern Yoga world.
Participants found themselves immersed in more than postures or breathwork; they were guided through the rich philosophical undercurrents of Yoga, encouraged to contemplate not only technique, but purpose. As Adhiyogi often emphasized, "If we seek liberation, we must look beyond the mat."
This second year marked a turning point. Adhiyogi’s teachings stirred something deep within the hearts of those present. They left the studio not just as certified teachers, but as transformed individuals carrying the flame of a living tradition.
Marina summed it up with a note of heartfelt gratitude:
“Thank you, thank you for all you do – for all of us serious students of Yoga.”
And so, in a quiet studio in California, surrounded by seekers and sincerity, Adhiyogi’s wisdom took root — growing silently but steadily, like a lotus rising from still water, toward the sun.
OM Shantiḥ.
