Bharati V. Nikam – Belgaum, India
For Bharati, yoga had been a passion for nearly ten years. Yet her quest was not just physical mastery — she wanted to understand life more deeply and discover herself through yoga. Her search for a teacher led her to Adhiyogi, who was in Belgaum for a philosophy seminar.
From their very first meeting, Bharati felt a strong connection. Neel’s personality — humble, energetic, and deeply knowledgeable — left a lasting impression. She was struck by the way he blended practical wisdom with philosophical insights, making yoga not only about poses but also about living.
His Adhiyoga Authentic Yoga System book became a guiding text for her, teaching her how to approach yoga systematically, step by step, according to one’s capacity. She appreciated how his method required creativity and self-reflection, urging students to look within and understand the pose not just physically but mentally and emotionally.
Though her training was brief, its impact was profound. Bharati felt inspired to continue studying with Neel in the future, to deepen her passion for yoga and eventually teach it. For her, Neel’s greatest lesson was simple yet transformative: always keep a happy face, look within, and connect body and mind.
OM Shantiḥ.
