Adhiyogi in U.S.A.
When Adhiyogi finally settled in the United States, he was struck by the realization that his father Vinayak’s words had indeed come true. The prediction about traveling the world and gaining new opportunities was now unfolding in real time.
In the U.S., doors began to open in remarkable ways. First, Adhiyogi’s longstanding desire to study modern computer technology was not only fulfilled but exceeded. He worked on 21 professional projects, mastering 17 computer languages and 5 major database systems. This immense technical growth would later become a foundation for his yoga teachings, particularly in how he structured and documented his Yoga system.
Secondly, the American work environment offered Adhiyogi invaluable skills in presentation, project planning, leadership, and public speaking. These experiences refined his ability to communicate and organize complex ideas — a skill he would soon channel into creating and teaching the Adhiyoga system to global audiences.
But perhaps most notably, living in the United States exposed Adhiyogi to a truly international community. He developed a deep sense of brotherhood across cultures, nationalities, and races. People often noted how effortlessly he embraced both Western and Eastern traditions — without ever compromising his Indian values. He continued his lifelong commitment to vegetarianism, abstinence from alcohol, daily prayers, Sanskrit chanting, and spiritual discipline.
And then came the greatest blessing of all: U.S. citizenship. It eliminated the bureaucratic hurdles that might have limited his global movement. With his American passport, Adhiyogi could now travel freely across continents — a gift that would prove critical in spreading his vision of yoga and spiritual evolution.
In all of this, Adhiyogi recognized the silent yet powerful presence of Vinayak’s blessings — the foresight, the sacrifices, and the subtle guidance that had quietly paved the way for every success.
OM Shantiḥ.
