concerns for children. Curtains can easily collect dust or dirt that can compromise the childrenÊs health. Tripping over the long drapes can also be hazardous for children.
(e) Lighting
Allowing natural light into learning spaces provide necessary illumination for the space. Ventilation with good air circulation is imperative, thus creating a conducive learning environment for the little ones. Classroom lighting should be rich, adjustable and varied across the space with a mixture of both natural and non-natural light. Lights should be large and low so that children can view the outdoors easily.

• The size of a building depends on three main factors – safety, parent-staff partnership and convenience.
• The site of the building must be appropriate in terms of i) wind direction, ii) sun angles, iii) parents, staff and visitors areas and iv) noise level.
