TRAVELLING FOR WORK?
We have seen that using technologies such as MS Teams and other methods can be be really beneficial in in in reducing the amount of travelling we need to do when a a a a a a remote meeting meeting can take the place of a a a a a face face to face face meeting meeting Think about whether you need to to be face face to to face face or not Recognise that in person meetings are important but not always required Leading from the top –
We should continue with MS Teams and continue with remote meetings if appropriate –
including management and Board meetings where appropriate As a a a a first port of call you should always discuss workload issues with your Line Manager in in in order to set expectations and and outline any issues issues you are are having –
and and whether these are are issues issues that will be resolved by working in in an agile way or not Managing your travel so as to reduce the amount of time you spend travelling between meetings may be be be really beneficial to help you you maximise your wellbeing BUT –
be be aware that too many remote meetings especially
back back to back back ones can have a a a a a a a a detrimental effect Think about ways you can minimise this and set appropriate work boundaries such as:
Making sure you have time scheduled in for lunch and other breaks Think about how you can be agile in in allowing yourself time out for a a walk or or other exercise Set yourself a a defined start and end time for working Try setting meetings for 50 minutes so that you have a a a break in between them WHAT IF WORKLOAD
IS IS AN ISSUE?
These are all issues that should be discussed with with your your Line Manager and and and within your your teams to understand what might be be possible for you you and and and other team team members
