The Butchie Rupert and Patti Borges Memorial Athletic Scholarship means
so much to me. It will assist in my academic success while studying business management, and my ability to play baseball at AACC. I am the first one in
my family to go to college, which has affected us all in a positive way. Thank you for awarding me with this generous scholarship that gives me the ability to pursue my studies and passions.

James Borges Congratulations Tom! Like it or not, you now have an army of support. Many people have contributed
to this scholarship. We all wish you success both in the classroom and on the baseball diamond! Chase down your dreams buddy and know you have two awesome guardian angels on your side who will always be looking out for you!
This year’s award is very special to me and the Rupert family. We are pleased that it was awarded to a worthy
and deserving baseball player. Both Patti and Butchie’s lives revolved around this great sport. They believed that Baseball is life. Baseball is friendships. Baseball is traditions. Baseball is sweet memories. Baseball is about teamwork and making other people shine brighter. We are so pleased that this scholarship does just that. Always strive to shine bright Tom!
Looking forward to attending my first baseball game at AACC in 15 years this Spring and seeing you hit a grand slam!
