Expansion of the Seoul
History Museum
The location where Donuimun was
based has practical limitations for
raising Donuimun due to traffic
congestion. The Project site is
between the Seoul Museum of
History and Gyeonghee Palace,
close to Donuimun's site. It considers
the connection between traditional
exhibition forms.
Donuimun (1904)
The Seoul Museum of History serves
the role of exhibiting historical and
cultural legacy analogously. Therefore,
they can expand their analog heritage
to digital for preservation and exhibition
via the Digital Heritage Center. These
digital technologies create an extended
experience in a traditional museum.
For this reason, the relationship
with the Seoul Museum of History is
significant.
