Missionary of the Year
TO THE HONOREE
SISTER CORA SUGGS (My Mom)
FOR YOUR OUTSTANDING SERVICE WORKING FOR THE LORD.
My mother Cora B Suggs was born (April 14, 1950) and I’m so thankful for this Faithful Woman of God.
Because of her, I was born 24 years later. Amen. On the 9th month of the year on the 9th day, Cora B. Suggs
gave birth to her only child Willie Terrell Swiney,(me).
Where is Cora B. Suggs? She is always working! Even after working for The Federal Reserve Bank for 29 years
and being retired. She was hired for another job in 2001 and the job was titled “Grandma”: Samantha Swiney
was born. Did you know, Cora is coming up on her 20th year now as a Grandma and nobody can fire her. Her
youngest and sweet grandson, Roya’L Lee Swiney, says, “It’s because of God!”
Cora B. Suggs loves to work and is a determined Soldier in the Army of The Lord. Therefore, since she is
always working, she will never go without. God has provided for her and He Has Never Failed Her Yet!
My mother’s favorite saying when I was growing up was, “RISE AND SHINE”. Here it is, a few years ago in her
Trial discourse she spoke about “The Light”. She told the church, “Let us all be lights and to turn your lights
on. Then continue to let God SHINE for you and through you.”
Ma, thank you for letting your light SHINE from the day I was born. As I’ve seen you nonstop working for Jesus.
I can tell you, your work doesn’t go unnoticed and it’s not in vain. Thank God for such a beautiful, dedicated,
loving, kind, caring, hardworking, Mother. I appreciate all you have done, you are doing, and will do in Jesus’
name. God Bless You!
Keep Shining Ma,
I Love You
Terrell
