Conclusions
▶ Complex Microservices Applications can bring real benefits in terms of agility,
market responsiveness and reusable code but often at the expense of
complexity and visibility.
▶ As IT becomes more of a business driver and revenue earner, downtime and
poor performance become less sustainable
▶ Resolving performance issues involves tracking communications between all of
the services in an application and recognising where the time to transfer or
process an item is out expected parameters
▶ AppDynamics uses and agent based approach together with baseline
measurements and artificial intelligence to spot bottlenecks
▶ Agents can drill down into the actual code of the application or service to
highlight exactly where a problem lies
