The Business Discovery Workshop
Guidelines for a Successful Event
• Duration half a day (3 to 5 hours)
• Try to gain commitment for no interruptions
• Ideally around 5 to 9 business decision makers/influencers (ie from customer organization)
• Appoint workshop leaders, minute takers and supporting personnel to assist with workshop
management
• Ensure appropriate facilities (room, catering, equipment, etc)
• Plan the agenda carefully and prepare well beforehand
• Ensure all attendees are well briefed beforehand and committed to attending
• Manage time and ensure energy levels remain high
• Ensure all discussion outputs and decisions are fully documented
• Leave time to agree next steps
